Fallen Timbers

fallen timbers
Floating over brook and meadow
fallen timbers, overcome with reed
aroma dances with current and breeze

watchers on the bank lay quiet

contrasting sunlight diffuses in light mist
pools of calm cool air penetrate my skin
I am here, I am alive, I am aware
clarity booms deafeningly .. yet silent

travelled so far from antagonism
tranquility stands pacific

How grand the expedition
I am free
I am the pilot

Hi Sandee!

I keep changing and re-writing this post .. it seems close to something good, but just not quite right.

I like it, Speedy. Very nice. Really it is. You've got some really good images going for you there. :-)

"Iam free, I am the pilot", brilliant words. A man who's in charge of his life.
Soar on Speedy !

stop! It's PERFECT.

Favorite parts: the line about awareness ... reminds me of these moments where I look in the mirror and all of a sudden I am like ... crystal clear aware that I am HERE. I am ALIVE. This is REAL. This moment is mine.

And "I am the pilot".

Wow.

Beautiful. Really beautiful.

Dollar word: PACIFIC Not an unusual word but an unusual application. Very nice.
