Simple Things

From Drop Box

I have not been around this long lost blog for a while. In my entire life there have been many busy periods, but none ever to compare with the last week. After 85 hours at work my mind and body were shot. Today was this first day spent at home since ... well, I am not sure when.
My place is a disaster to say the least. Yes, I could have cleaned up a little today, but opted to walk the trail with my dog, watch some TV, fart around on the internet, take a nap, catch a few rays on the deck, and make some personal phone calls. Sounds boring, but it was heaven to me. A little like being dropped off from a tornado into some sort of serene utopia. One word to describe my day?

PEACE

Something that caught me by surprise were the great blessings in my life that I had not noticed in recent days. The simplest things are almost always the best things.

Your day sounds very relaxing.

And very much needed too.

Sometimes we really need to regenerate ourselves first before we can even think of doing the chores, tasks, or other obligations that fill our day.
I'm glad you took it.

XOXO

You need to have more days like this Speedy. Speedy time if you will. Your dog misses you too. Just saying. I know I miss you bunches when you're not around.

Have a terrific day and enjoy every minute. Super big hugs. :)

Speedy, I love that picture. Wow. It's so pretty.

I'm so glad to hear you finally got to have a little peace in your life. You deserve it. I hope you can find a way to have that feeling a little more often. It really is true that the simplest things are the best.

The Johnny Cash song is one of my favorites of his, and it fits this post perfectly.

I hope you have a good week. Hugs from Daisy.
