there is just something about a dog..they are always there no matter what..I miss my old mutt I had in the truck..:)
I am not a dog person, but Mardy is the cat's meow. ;o)
I can totally relate. I don't understand people that don't get how some of us care about and grow so close to our pets. They are so missing out IMHO.
I think I would make a better best friend because I would always tell you the truth and never let you get a big head. Then I would give you a headbutt no matter what I thought. Downside: You would have to get a pet stroller to take me for a walk.
