Circle of Invulnerability

ephemeral messages concur with evolution
human spirit fading from dreams to insipid path
harmony blends with entropy as time fleets
a shell, a boundary, a circle of invulnerability
refuge has an amalgamate pool of reflections
vision creates vision
as tide rushes in we retreat 2 the harbors
I have been there in perpetuity
shall I sail in subsequent time ?
... or without delay ?

I'm too exhausted to comprehend words of more than 2 syllables.

"Vision creates vision"

My old school motto is "Vision creates Mission" :):)

Have a wonderful day Speedy!

Speedy is waxing poetic again! :-)

So did you sail away already or are you waiting for a bit? Cool picture, btw. :D

ME:
aspiring revolutions of a deep azure haze...
whose mental concoctions forever a synapses blaze...
peering beyond the windows of a contented smiling face...
i hear the words of soulful cries amidst aquatic space.

But watch THIS:

Mary had a little lamb
A little beef
A little lamb
A little soda topped with fizz
now how sick our Mary IS.

I know.
I shouldn't have shown you up like that.
I shouldn'a.

ahem .. ..

Edit that third poetry line to read:

A little HAM

Like in BACON

But bacon does not rhyme with lamb ... so never mind that.

Wendster said...

But seriously?

Very nice poetry.

You have range, my friend.

Thanks everyone for the excellent comments!

This was something I wrote after thinking about routines, and how I "think" of myself as impulsive and open to adventurous ideas, yet have been just the opposite in recent months. It has no negative meanings or thoughts ... rather an inclination to step out of my comfort zone and LIVE a little more. I think winter and cabin fever have a lot to do with this :-)

And I had to giggle...Wendster...touche!

...mental expansion is good for the heart, spirit and the
NOGGIN :)

Speedy~I look forward to the other side of you, just as much...

hmmmmm, I wonder what infamous, I mean famous person you will be spotted with next? :)

At first I thought it was one of Nostradamus' prophecies, but it didn't end with some king getting his eye poked out.

Anyway, nice piece. You should print and frame it.

Which reminds me I need to do that with some of my stuff. Alas, I need to wait until I have more walls...

I really like the last three lines. They really wrap up the mood of the piece.

@ Muse

Hmmmmmmmm ... maybe I'll write some MORE poetry?

You rock, Muse. xoxox
