A Post from the FUTURE

I am writing this in 2047, and all my hair has fallen out. Today I may give up blogging for shuffleboard. I met a new woman at the retirement home today, a spry spring chicken of 70. Best part is she has 3 wigs, and it's like being in love with three girls. My cane has a splinter in the handle too ... dammit. They served meatloaf today in the cafeteria, and it sucked. I realize posting this my screw up the time continuum, but who cares.

Eagle Birdie Bogey Par Par

I had almost given up hope for another round of golf here in the North Country. Just two weeks ago I was taking pictures of snow on the ground. Today was windy, but in the upper 50's ... seemed really warm compared to recent temperatures. You cannot let an opprotunity like this to go to waste!
Best part of my round, and entire year for that matter, was an eagle 2 on hole #12. It's a shorty par four measuring 320 yards, and my drive landed on the green - 8ft from the pin.
Sometimes life is really tough, and other times it seems like heaven. Today was most definately in the latter catagory.


I even won the coveted "Gordo Trophy" ....

Fargo North Dakota Fishing

Where is Fargo you ask? Well, it is about as far as you can go before civilization disappears ... and that was the goal.

I loaded up my Winnebago with all my crap end headed out early in the morning, even before the crazed "morning bloggers" were up commenting and dropping E Cards. My giant 52oz coffee mug was at my side, and I wore a diaper so the journey would not take so long with urine stops. I cannot take credit for that idea, as I heard about this TRICK on the news once.

After being on the road for 3 hours, I stopped at my all time favorite greasy spoon diner, the "Brooks Family Dining" house on Route #77. Their eggs Benedict is the COUP de Grass. (that's how we say it around here)
I was lucky too, because Florence was working the tables - I have just a wee bit of a mad crush on Florence and her booo font hairdo. I walked in with a BIG smile and sat down in the corner. She asked if I was wearing a diaper, and I said, "Yep". She said to me verbatim .... "Speedy, you really have issues".
I winked at her, and then handed out a sloppy wet kiss. She told me I was quite good with romantic embraces, and to call her if I ever completed an intensive mental therapy program.
After scooping up the last bit of hollandaise sauce with my toast, I shuffled over to the bait store across the street.



I bought 10 Lindee Rigs, 5 spools of 12 lbs test filament line, and 100 leaches. If you are going fishing, you need the right equipment.


I took this photo driving into the cabin area owned by Sam Havenscrodells. He likes to fix trucks! Can't say I have ever seen him finish one, but he is always buying them. I like it here because the rent for a night is 29.00 dollars, and the boats are included. I always bring my own bedding though. Laundry is not much of a priority here it seems at Canabevea Lake Shores.




Here I am after landing my first 27 pound lunker. I saved this baby and had him mounted later in the week. Nothing like mounting something .... a proud moment in Hollydale history, you betcha`. The lil rascal put up a heck of a fight, say maybe 20 minutes of intense fish battling. The drag from my reel was screaming like a senior citizen that just hit the bingo line during double points. After an event of this magnitude, a man gets awful hungry! (again)

Dear Sally (in prison) .... please know that I am touched that you tried to steal a few cars and a gold band for me, but must admit that you do scare me with your bad girl ways. If I am still single in 15 years when you get out, go to the big oak tree and pluck the yellow ribbon. It will have my phone number on it.

Me and my trusty guard dog Mardy spend a few days venturing around the Northland recently. What exactly is the Northland? Well, it is the area North of Hollydale and South of Canada ... and Drowsey Monkey. Here you will find a land rich in historical markers, pines, and lakes galore. On our journey we stopped to see the famed World Record Walleye caught by Paul Bunyan in 1892 on Rush Lake. He used a 62 foot White Pine and a three ton loggers wench ... (ooops) I mean "winch" to make his own custom fishing rod.
We both marked our territory by peeing on a few things. The park ranger said this was "frowned upon", yet we laughed hysterically. Yes, dogs can laugh, just tell one a good joke about cats or rabbits.

I'm taking a greyhound on the hudson river line

I seen all the movie stars in their fancy cars and their limousines
Been high in the rockies under the evergreens ....
But I know what I'm needing and I dont want to waste more time

Pros and Cons of Organic Farming & Hollydale Ranch Wife Applications

The Pros and Cons of Organic Farming are simple. Organic is more expensive, and non organic will make you grow boobs and goiters. Did you know that most of what you eat now is a new hybrid ... resistant to non selective herbicide? Well, I plan to change this equation until some MON` Santo's lawyer comes to my farm and destroys my family.

MY PLAN is simple. I feed my chickens 3 cans of Hormel Chili ( and me too ) before going out into the field, then the turd and lay eggs everywhere as we work together in natures harmony. We also sing old chicken songs like " Bawk Bawk BRAAAgAWWWK". Right now we are planting Winter Wheat and cotton. Funny how your underwear is made from a plant! Next spring the arugula & gummy bears will be the crop of choice. I think you can get gummy bear underwear too ... hopefully that will raise revenues here at the Hollydale Ranch. If all goes well, I will be taking applications for a new wife. I will provide a happy (and healthy) life and lots of goodie luvins , if you wash the grundies
