Gollie

Gomer Pyle Gollie hat
You know, every single day we make choices that affect the path of our future. Without getting too philosophical, it is quite amazing that one moment can change a lifetime. I have often wondered if you could go back in time and try to fix the mistakes and wrong turns ... if things would work out better, or might they bring a whole new set of circumstances that could make life as it stands today look pretty nice. If anything we are a product of our successes and failures. A culmination of lessons and thoughts.
Seems the hardest thing to deal with is the unexpected and unforeseen. We never cross the finish line and score, it is a constant battle.

My life has been full of crossroads, and I seem to have arrived at yet another. Heading into the sunset with no map yet one more time.

If I've learned anything about you through your blog, it's that you will land on your feet. I'll be thinking of you.

I've always thought of my mistakes as lessons learned. Without those mistakes I wouldn't be where I am today. I'm pretty sure of that. I've a feeling that you will make the right choices. You just strike me as that type of guy.

Have a terrific day Speedy. Big hug. :)

Fortunately, Ive learned from MOST of my mistakes.

The ONLY thing I'd really like to change about my past is after seeing the movie Forrest Gump in the theater, I wished I had gone out and bough a shitload of Apple Stock! Cuz I'd be rich by now!

Well, I wouldn't change my path because each time I think about it, it makes me realize I would not have met my husband and even with all his idiosyncrasies, I'd still rather have him around. ;o)

Good luck to you and may all your your shoelaces be tied.

You are so right. And I see that more now as I am trying to help my kids chose a college, major, career, etc. It's too much pressure!

I agree Speedy. We all are a sum total of our pasts. I hope this crossroads brings you great opportunities for happiness and whatever else you might be seeking in your life for the future. New starts, new beginnings can be scary and a little nerve wracking, but they can also take you to some great places you've never been before. I'll say a prayer for you and be thinking of you. Hugs to you. :)

Ah, Speedy. You have such a perfect way of putting things so everyone can relate to you.

You have so many talents. Like Terri said, you'll land on your feet. You are just the sort of person that doesn't let life get the best of him.

One thing I've learned is not to wish away the present trying to change the past. There is something of value no matter where you are in life. Without the painful experiences, you cannot recognize the joys.

Who needs maps?

I'm sure you'll be able to forge your own path and make things turn out okay. And, I hope that, whatever is going on in your life, everything turns out for the best for you. You certainly deserve good things!

Eric I am sending positive energy to give you the continued courage to bend when you need to and stand strong when it is called for.

Life’s little setbacks help to strength our character. Nevertheless, don’t you just wish we could skip over a few of its trials sometimes?

Your faith will, as it always has, sustain you.

Whatever route you take it will bring you to a right place for you, and at the right time. We may not always appreciate it, but we learn from it, give of ourselves, receive from others and move on to the next crossroads.

It's what we're made of :O)

People say, "I have no regrets." I don't understand how they can say that. If I could go back in time to change some things, I would!

May God grant you wisdom!

I've never had a map, which is probably because I've never known my destination... Makes for an interesting journey that way, doesn't it?

When the outlook isn’t good and it often isn’t, try the up look. It’s always good! If you look up at the sun, You seldom see Shadow!
