The Loudest Voice

Hollydale Rain Drops

Dejected images spread rampant
Thoughts derived in vain blanket my senses
Turmoil is evermore insistent as waves of trepidation encase
I search for apathy yet find remorse
I hunt for truth as sullen clouds of doubt dance into the horizon
What is light when curtains are drawn ?
What is joy when anguish has the loudest voice ?
Engulfed in my own barriers I reach outward as my focus dives inward
This place, this time, I have occupied before
Where is the hand to pull, the connection to grace
... yes, I do remember, how simple
A sudden smile appears on my face

Beautiful Speedy. This is that other side of you that you don't often show us. I like it very much.

Have a terrific day and weekend. Big hug. :)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Thank you Sandee ((smile))

I have no words to follow those..:)

Robert, this blog to me is usually where I escape daily stress, and find a relaxing atmosphere to calm my nerves, relax, create, and laugh. Today I started out with a different intent, yet still found the destination I was searching for. Sometimes the best reflections are not found in a mirror, but in your own mind.

Thanks for reading !

I'm not surprised, though I can still be amazed at the beauty of your words.

BIBI !!

It was one of "those" days for me, but somehow just writing this short post was very theraputic. It's easy to loose sight of the many blessings that go un-noticed sometimes.

Thanks for the nice comment (((smile)))

Wow! Wow! Wow! Those are beautiful words. Wow!

(I know, I said that already, but Wow!)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Terri!!

When I first re-read what I wrote, it seemed corny. The comments here have been great ... thank you :-)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Jackie ... well, my next post will probably be really goofy, so I am glad you liked this one !!!!!

Out of the thousands of posts I have created over the last three years, the actual number of serious, poetic, and emotional entries is quite high in number. Many days I do 3-5 posts on my various blogs. Funny, as I whipped this one out in far less time than usual ... about 10 minutes, it has been more popular in a short time span than many photoshopped posts that took hours to do.
That gives me some motivation to do more like it :-)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Thanks Barbara !!!!!!!!

Yes good thing about Blogger being free! Oh my goodness, imagine how much your blog might cost if it weren't--ha!

Your blog (blogs!!!) have a LOT of stuff on them.

Daisy said...

Speedcat Hollydale said...

blog over-achiever?

HA HAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!! ... I like that :-)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

OK ... here I come over to your blog now !

Daisy said...

Yeah, I kind of thought that might have been the inspiration for it.

Starting first of April, the cleaning staff at my library will be out of their jobs. Then me and the other librarians will also be cleaning the library in addition to all the stuff we already do now. Some funding the director thought we were going to get from the state didn't come through. So we will have cleaning duties added to our responsibilities for no extra pay and no extra hours to do it in. We are already so busy and so understaffed as it is that there is no way we will be able to get it all done. Also, he is talking of cutting everyone's hours too in an effort to save money. Sent out a memo of a whole list of things we are to do to try and save money for the library budget. Turning off lots of lights, cutting way back on supplies, eh, a whole bunch of stuff. It is a mess. We are supposed to have a levy to vote on in the fall, but I can't see very many people voting for it because this area is so depressed as it is. Lots and lots and lots of folks out of jobs here.

ah, sorry, I'm writing you another book

Daisy said...

Nice to talk to you tonight, Speedy. Happy Sunday to you. :-)
