I was always amazed as a kid when they handed out those green glow sticks at the park or roller rink. It seemed it was my own beacon of "hey look at me". How those two liquids came together to produce light was quite fascinating.
The downside was they wore down, and after half an hour, it was a dull yellow faded piece of junk. I knew that my research at the radioactive lab in Hollydale (my garage) could be the answer.
By combining isotopes, uranium enriched with foliate, and parts from old monitors, it appeared my new invention was a success. Best thing was it transmitted such a small radioactive signal that Walmart put it in their stock next to the Chinese Lead Baby Swings.
I thought to myself, why stop there? Surely there must be 
other uses for my forever lasting glow sauce! Well, before I could find out, the new New Consumer Protection Act had shut me down. I have been using the rest of the glow sticks for lighting my own home in Hollydale.
Not bad really, and every woman looks like that space lady from Star Trek. I like me some green girls!

One time, my son broke open a glow stick & smeared it all over himself & even put it on his tongue....scared the crapola outta me!!! He GLOWED for hours! (Yes, the one who last called from a truckstop in SLC.)

I always liked GITD stuff too. These days, they have them in different colors too. That reminds me, I've fallen behind in one of my GITD projects...
Stuff that glows under black light too was always cool.
Oh, and did you know that a blacklight does a really good job of charging up things that GITD! Seriously. It's like you're combining two different radioactive substances or something.
One day, it'd be nice to have a room where everything glows in the dark. Everything. Imagine, in a black out, you're the only house that's glowing, even if you're out of batteries. So, maybe it will only last a couple hours. But, that's where your battery-powered blacklight comes in!
Ah, well, I'm spilling too many secrets here...
Oh, and the green woman is an Orion slave girl. They were in a couple of the original series episodes, including the original pilot, though that one wasn't a real Orion slave girl.
I think the picture you have is from the episode where they visited a penal colony where the inmates took over.
In an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, it was revealed that the Orion women were actually the ones that ran things.
Damn I'm old they didn't have glow stick when I was a kid......yikes
