This post is set up in reverse. Starting with the drive home (above) to the morning and presents (below) from yesterdays big holiday blow out.I notice some blogs with pictures of EVERYTHING ... family, friends, even their decorated house! Other blogs, you will not even see what the person writing the post looks like. My comments have been loaded with the question, "Where is the family?" In my own comfort zone here, and out of respect for privacy, I share limited bits of information about relatives. At the inception of this blog, I was very private about myself as well. Somehow that changed! Most people that stop at my blog are familiar to me. I know "them" pretty well from reading blogs and from conversations here and elsewhere. Sharing my own pictures and thoughts seems natural.
I'll bet a thousand photos were taken yesterday during Christmas. I was at two destinations, and spent hours on the road. The pictures here are just a few from my cell phone.

Here I thought I was on the "naughty list" for that incident in July. As you can see, Santa made it with my presents. Only ONE 
of them had coal inside ....Even though the day was 17 hours of action packed family, food, and conversation, it seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. I'm already home from work on Friday night, and thinking about work tomorrow - (ishhh). At least New Years is around the corner!

I really liked the self portraits in teh christmas balls . Sounds like you had a busy, action packed day! We get a public holiday the day after Christmas too so its a four day weekend for us in Australia. I think Canada maybe the same.

I love that you share pictures on your site. I totally respect the thought for other family members' privacy though. It is one of the issues I struggle with also. But I absolutely love the bottom pic of you with the presents and you are looking off to the side. Looks like you are contemplating all the wonderful things the season brings. And there is that perfect hint of a smile. :) I'm so glad for you and yours that the day went well. The good times sure do fly by fast, huh? ;)
