Music Monday early on a Sunday

I love the old standards. There is nothing like a song with a simple and hauntingly captive melody. Add a vocal talent with extreme cabability, and you have something special. Of course, there are current artists that are fantastic at re-creating the styles of the past. This song combines both, and is in my own TOP 10 musical picks from any era.

Come join us in Music Monday and share your songs with us. Leave ONLY the actual post link here and we will all go and visit you. You can grab this code at LJL Please note these links are strictly for Music Monday participants only. All others will be deleted.

Awesome. An excellent pick. Have a great Music Monday on Sunday. Big hug. :)

It doesnt get much better than that! Well, except maybe Frank.

Shinade said...

I started to choose this one last night too!!

Then went with Guns N Roses mostly because my grandsons both play. One a guitar and the other a fiddle.

So I played GNR'S...which is a favorite of mine too.

This is a great pick. My you are feeling a little sentimental huh?

Hugs for you Eric:-)

Shinade said...

By the way if you happen to know any rock that features a fiddler please pop over and let me know.

Noah is the guitar man and Eben is a fiddler. So I would like to do a little rock for them next week that has a fiddler in it!!

I have gone blank on anything except C&W.

Bye 4 now:-)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Sentimental? hmmm, not really. I almost always listen to classics now. I work with some "youngsters" that play loud music in the morning ... and it drives me crazy!!!!

Back in the 80's, I guess I was just like them :-)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Olga ... Frank is next!!!!

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Thanks Sandee!!!

Coming over :-)

Rozella said...

Awww... this is such a great classic choice. Nat has always been one of my fave male singers.

She has one of the most beautiful, soulful voices I've ever heard...she died about 10 years ago (only 33 years old) wrote a lot of her own music but sang a lot of standards too...anyhoo, I've been listening to her a lot lately...here's an oldy but goody. (lots more on YouTube)
