Doors at the Xcel Energy Center open at 7 p.m. for a Democratic political rally in St. Paul, Minnesota. Obama and his wife Michelle are expected to declare victory in the Democrat Party's contentious presidential nomination race. People are flocking to the site, and a crowd has been building since early Tuesday morning. Reports (unconfirmed) have also come into the Hollydale political offices that Bill Clinton has been seen in the crowd, giving last minute campaign speeches for Hillary, and picking up chicks. Bill once told me that Minnesota Girls are the bomb! (thanks to Mike Hatch for the photo)
As I passed out my "Speedcat Hollydale" for write in candidate buttons, the most frequent response was, "Who the hell are you?". While this was unnerving, I just figured that the blogging community was at home blogging. My 18 supporters are small in number, but have a very large voice... why even the French are backing me! ( here too 8~)
Pictures from the area surrounding the Excel Energy center have been pouring in, and here are the latest.

Tim Blotz from the local 9 news was reporting live, and next to him is "Amy Joy" from New Hope. She told me that the only way she would miss this event was if a sudden child birth was eminent.
To the left is a photo of me and my running mate Olga the Traveling Bra . Seems like there was less attention given to my campaign stop to the city. I did get a few "thumbs up" however, and many people signed my election papers. The traffic cop told me to leave after a collision occurred in front of WCCO Radio. (which was NOT my fault...)
*BREAKING NEWS*
Hillary Clinton just told colleagues that she would be consider joining Barack Obama as his running mate. Did I tell you?? (yes, I did )
All I know is, that I hope this story from the past never leaks out to the press .... Nekkid Gardening Hurts !

What would happen if every Blogger broadcasted live the BlogBlast For Peace on June 4, 2008 by posting their Dona nobis pacem Peace Globe?
This for my blogging pal, Mimi Lenox. Click the link or picture to participate.

I'm quite enjoying this race, I don't normally pay that much attention to American politics, but I have to say, this has been interesting so far.
I certainly do find the way Obama deals with things to be different & refreshing. And I also admire McCain, so regardless of who wins, I think it will be fascinating to watch, even for a Canadian! lol
Oh, I forgot to mention, of course I'll be voting for you :)
Drowsey!! I was getting all depressed until your second comment came in (he heeee)
.... and I will be voting for myself too!!
I want the dish on the nekkid gardening incident. 'Fess up catman!
Follow the link ... as this is a family blog. (wink)
Hey Auntie, I love your TV room. SWEET
Whoever wins the presidency has 4 years to make America a completely new country...haha! No matter who wins, gas prices will keep going up and taxes will double. What's your plan Speedy? If you don't win the nomination, who will you vote for?
I'm glad Obama won (well, looks like he did). I like Democrats but Hilary just doesn't have the true beliefs that she can change the country. Obama does... he is a dreamer, in a good way. That's what the USA need.
I will write myself in!!! j/k
If our own country would allow more drilling, you would not have such a major dependance on crude from overseas. Yes, the environmentalists will stop this, but they are driving cars too now aren't they.
Taxes?? They should be spent here, for Americans, not everywhere else on the planet.
I am an extreamist, aren't I???
Zhu ... you snuck in!! The major factor in coming years will be how we work in a global economy. The days of isolationism have passed long ago.
ohhh, and Bobby, the previous comment was for you!
Speedcat,
The pressman at the Los Angeles Times are throwing their support your way.
Due too the high expense of gasoline and the long commutes from the burbs to Los Angeles we currently have no money to send at this time.
Peace brother,
Edward the Blogging Pressman
I agree Speedy, we need to drill here right now! I don't believe global warming is real especially considering the Earth is now cooling down...hahaha:) Whoever the president is, America will not accept anything but greatness. If they don't deliver, they will only get 4 years. I will probably vote democratic this round, but will brutally criticize them if they don't get it done...and quickly:)
Ed: Nice to see you, I wish I did more posting at the Pressmans blog! I'll put some thought into something for the future. Great post on your side of the block!!
Bobby! You do remember my posts (wink)
You are very correct. The air in the country has really thickened, and most folks would like acountability in politics. Seems that when you make a campaign promise and get elected on those words .... you should keep them.
I would love to see Washington radically revamped and streamlined. Away with million dollar companies "buying" politicians. Reform in this area??? I am an extreamist, no???
If you walked into Cheers in Boston with the Vote for Speedy Button, everybody would know your name including Norm! :~))
Will Bobby vote nekkid or does Bobby campaign au natural only? ;~))
you obviously have to go as an independant Speedy !!!!
... those nekkid pics may come back to haunt you...and I don't know about the bra...
Miss MP may have to put her on the shelf till things die down...
my advice .. (for what it's worth....I am a non US citizen after all )
go out and kiss lots of babies :) :)
Beautiful and fun globe
