Seasons. They bring chapters to a close, and open new ones. It is so easy to think in terms of your own existence, for instance ... as I wait patiently for spring to arrive, people in other parts of the world are witnessing the the autumn leaves begin to make their ascent back to Earth.
How strange it must be to live where the sun stays warm, and green lush surroundings remain always. I like the change, and the thoughts that come with each season.
Spring is exciting; full of anticipation. People flock to the outdoors with new found smiles.
Summer is non-stop fun, and you never have enough time to fit everything in.
Fall is beautiful. A walk though the woods admiring the colors is therapeutic.
Winter is celebratory. People gather indoors for holidays, and spend more time talking.
What part of the picture looks like your hometown weather? Do you have a favorite season?

Hey Speedy. I've done a marathon read on your blog tonight and so I'll just comment once instead of on each post (forgive me but until these ducks of mine start leaving the next, I'm zombie queen). Anyway, I have TEARS in my eyes from laughing. Again. The Star Trek thing is priceless and the funniest thing I've seen in weeks.
LOVE the new look of the blog too! Bravo!
I have no friggin' idea what that green crud is in your mouth. Hope it tasted good though.
Funny you write about GNR. I have been listening to them all week for some strange reason. "Welcome to the junnngggggleeeee."
My favorite season when I was a kid in Alaska was Winter. Big snow and warm fires and lots of reading time. I pretty much ONLY like summer now as an old fogie woman. September is my favorite month but here on the Island it makes me panicky because winters here are demanding. Spring is my least favorite season. Wet, rainy, muddy, cruddy, stinky, weird, and it teases me about summer.
I think I covered it all! :-)
We're back on the east coast, and I have to say that summer is just too darn hot. And humid. Yuck.
PS- No, I've never golfed in my life.
The entire picture is Warren. But we joke there are only two seasons. "Construction" and "Not Construction".
:-)
It gets green and hot in Memphis very quick... and REALLY HOT. If I don't melt this summer I will read as much as I can!! :) Wish me luck.
If the heat doesn't kill us, the Mosquitoes carry us to death's door.
(they're the state bird you know).
Love that picture! It's the perfect symbol of the change of seasons we experience.
I love summer, but the heat gets to me after a while. I'd have to say fall is my favorite.
Spring is busting out all over here in California! It's really lovely here in the spring & fall...but summer is HOOTER than HECK!
definitely Spring and Fall in the North that is! Hey do you think you could pay some of your friends to stop by my blog? I need some friends too! Can you stop by and suggest a name for my daughters guinea pig!?
Hey Speedy! Good to be here again!
We have all those seasons here in NW PA. I don't have a particular fav.
I did a run~through of all your recent posts...my goodness, Man! You are zany!
Thanks for making me laugh :-)
Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons which seem to be the shortest seasons every year due to the Ice Age of Winter and Global Warming of Summer!
spring is full of allergies and sniffles and sneezing from hell for me.
Im a "Fall" kinda girl.
Spring is barely starting to show. The daffodils are about to bloom. It’s supposed to be in the low 60’s by the weekend. Whoo hoo!!
Hi nice post again..my fave season is summer...
got a tag for u speedy

today all of them.. if you didn't like the weather wait ten minutes,,,:)))
Def. Fall. Pretty trees here, cooler weather, always have liked fall. Now on Monday we had 3 inches of hail that did not melt overnight, today it's 55 and I'm sweating. Dang, I am soooooooooo halfway to death old.
Fall is my favorite time of year. Its still pretty warm during the day.. but cool and crisp at night! The fall colors are fabulous!
My fave season is anywhere where the wind dont blow...
Dear Eric, I see the beauty of every season there! Here in Indonesia we only have dry and rainy season... :-) but good thing is, it's green and colorful all the time through the whole year.. no specific change.. only floods everywhere when it is rainy season..and dry everywhere in 'summer' hehehehe...
This is a beautiful thought, the changing seasons. The changing of each season does bring a change to each of us. I can not really pick a season because I do cherish them all.
Today has been the first nice day out for Spring and the wind was blowing. My friend Evan and I decided to fly a kite. He had it flying so high that I had to add more string to it. It was glorious.
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, I love them all.
