Where to go, where to go? Many out there still have no idea where they should go to celebrate the new year. I have had many and countless requests to do a listing of my current party location spots for the blogging public. Here you will find something for everyone, and hopefully the greatest night of your life. These are my picks!!_______________________________________________________________
Times Square... this is for the person that loves to be crammed in a small space and get pushed around. It is cold, crazy, and downright insane - but you could end up on TV. I think this makes the travel and pick-pocketing well worth while. You will also have bragging rights at work the next time you make it in...
Here at the Bamm Boo Tiki Bar, you can wear your Speedo, and be close to the beach. New Year's specials include the "Bamm Package" which includes a Polynesian style banquet and party favors. If you are shy, skip this one. Lets move on....
For a little wild and woolly adventure, try the Pee Wee Biker Bar. They are offering a jug-o-whiskey and cigarette package for 12 dollars. You must sign a legal waiver to participate. If you love to fight and swear.... this is YOUR DREAM COME TRUE.
There is an underground rave New Years party at 501 E Lancaster. You pay 20.00 at the door, and receive garbage pale punch and hats. There is no dress code at this party, so if you are wondering what to wear, this could be celebration headquarters for you. Reservations are not required!
If you yell and scream all the time, this is your party location. You are allowed to kiss anyone, throw non-sharpened objects, and pour beer on your friends. Not for the faint of heart, this is for the wild branded nut cases of New Years. You have a good chance of getting on TV going here too, it will just be on the local news headlines.
For a quiet night of raw fish and plum wine, try the Geisha Sushi Bar in Albert Lea MN. They have wrap around rubber-backed booths with divider panels for a little privacy. This is great for the novice and the romantic. You might sneak in a smootchie smootchie when your date or loved one least expects it. New Years packages start at 400 dollars. There you have "Speedcat's New Years Party 2008" recommendations! If you need further assistance with finding the right party near your town, give me a call at 1-800-SPEEDCATRAVEL.
What will I be doing at midnight, January 1st? Staying in my house away from all of the lunitics out there. Pass the sparkling apple cider please!
Special thanks to my friend Olga for the Letterman picture :-)
