Celine Dion and Speedy Hollywood Last Concert Report

Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace
Celine Dion is "Leaving Las Vegas". She will be ending her bone crushing run at Caesars Palace tonight. "Ohhh Celine Dion, I cannot go on without you, ahhhhhh - ohhhhh the saddness!!" The show has grossed more than 400 million dollars and was seen by over three million fans, so don't cry yourself. It will be ok. I promise.

Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace This is Speedcat Hollydale, reporting on the triumphant ending concert by Celine Dion.
This legendary performer and proclaimed "DIVA" has wowed and delighted fans with a hauntingly sharp and beautiful voice for centuries. The love and admiration for this singer is enormous.
Celine is 230 years old today, and doesn't look a day over 40. Amazing!
Lets go out to the location....

Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace Caesars Palace made the Superstar their lead performer in 2003. They offered a multi-plexer contract including free chicken at the Vegas Chick Ranch. The sun will be setting to the West soon, and there is a feverish buzz in the air. The crowd is nervous and giddy.

Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace Here comes Celine!!!! She starts her last concert with Titanic. "Here.. we... go down in the drink... and I'm floating in the waters of Arrr ar ar artic....".
"Yhaaaaaa Hooooooo", I cry out, and Celine gives me a wink. That woman is awesome I tell you. Her voice could shatter 1000 goblets!

Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace Here Celine steps it up a notch and starts dancing around. I have to admit, "Fire Down Under" is one of my favorites. I start gettin jiggy wit dit myself! Ohhh the excitement is going to give me a heart attack.
This is the greatest moment in my life...

After the show.....Celine Dion final concert at Caesars Palace
Mrs. Dion said to me, "Oh Speedcat Hollywood, your heart it races as I press my small hand upon your chest... we must spend some time and dine on the chicken tonight... will you oblige my SpeedyCat?" I said of course, as this will be my last chance to be with the star before she goes back to Canada to rot away with her old husband on the veranda.
Bette Midler will be taking Celine's place at Caesars in February 2008. I will NOT miss the opening show! Midler is 300 years old :-)
Here is a preview of Bette's performance taken from "Beaches"

This YouTube was found for me by Olga. Thanks Olga :-)

actually that post has a connection to me in a weird way..when Celine Dion first went to Caesar's guess which redneck Canadian who is a crusty old soul..was part of the convoy that took all her show stuff to Vegas and set it up....???...the winner who gets the right answer first gets dinner at Billy Bob's Chili Dog and Slaw stand in Boone North Carolina.....:):):)

Robert: Was it YOU?!? If I am right, I'll be ready for some slaw and chili dogs really soon - that sounds pretty good!

Did you meet any of the people in the show?? Lose a few dollars in Vegas? Go to the chicken buffet???

The idea of Robert and Celine Dion...I dunno...something not right about that picture.

Now you speedy look quite comfy there cuddled up to her...even your freakishly large head seems to go with hers...all those famous women have large heads ya know.

And I don't think she's coming back to canada...not sure we want her.

BETTE MIDLER! YAY! She sings a great song about Otto Titsling!

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Drowsey: I tongue kissed her, and then was very sorry...... ha haaa!!

Rolando: You are right - It's a lie alright! You know me like a book. :)

Josey: I WISH I had photoshop! As far as messing around with pictures... nope, I can't stop myself! Thanks for swinging by tonight.

Olga: Bette is pretty bux-ome. Whi is Otto Titsling??? I must go to google for guidance. It sounds a bit uncomfortable!!!!!

Speedy! You swapped spit with Celine? Yeeeaaagggh!

How could you do that to ALICE?

Ooops, never mind. I am sure that Alice forgave you knowing that Celine couldn't resist all that Bearded Goodness. I mean, look, she's copping a feel and you certainly don't look all happy about it. Either that or you overindulged at the Chicken Buffet. We who are in the Speedcat Inner Circle know that it was the thought of the Chicken Buffet that made your heart go a pitter-patter!

I used to be a big fan - have her "Color Of Love" album around here somewhere. I kinda lost interest in her after it seems like she could actually pass through the eye of needle.

Better Midler ROCKS. I hope I age as well.

MsQ!! I do feel remose in the Alice relm... oh well, all is fair in love and war! That's amore.
Ahh yes, you know me all too well my friend. It was the chicken that temped me to my fate. "The Chicken Temptress" I call her. My heart was pounding out of my chest.

Say, why don't you put the Color of Love CD in and do your own rendition for us. Your podcast was really great. Show me how to do that sometime :-)

Bette does rock, and hopfully I will kiss her too someday. A boy can only dream.

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Olga: Thank you, I will check it out next. You the best bra in the business!

Hummie: Which one? Do tell...
I love your avatar! Good to see you today :-)

Hmm - first you ask me for photos of my bathroom (!!) and now you're asking me to do more song-casts?? I am flattered AND flabbergasted!

Alice might forgive you...if you sing "When the mood hits your eye like a chicken pot pie...that's a MORE-ay" outside her house.

Doing the podcast was easier than I thought - I did have to install some podcast widget thing but really all you have to do is record your voice to MP3, upload it to your server and link to it from your blog. I am not sure how Blogger works with this though.

I used Audacity to record my voice and I used a very cheap microphone. I have the link to audacity in my post. It's freeware. It would be great fun to hear your voice!

I am guessing you sound like Sylvester? hehehe!!

Thuffering Thpeedycat!

I love your song lyrics, VERY NICE! Your are talented and have a great sense of humor. I like you ;-) The sylvester connection is a great one, and I'm going to try and sound like him now, "Thusferen Sucatash Thpeedy Cat..." - not to bad. How bout this, "Adrian... ADRIAN!!" I'm better at that one.
OK, I'm waiting to hear "your" new song now. (is it out yet?)

Kim: well, I can't wear a Santa tie every day. (ok I could) These events do take a toll on my pocket book, but are indeed a little more fun than my "real day" at work doing the same thing over and over. Blogging is a fun place to be :-) and thanks Kim
